Facing your partner with a rebar pressed against the soft part of your neck requires a lot of trust and courage before you walk towards each other. Watch the rebar bend before your eyes

Imagine yourself standing face to face with your beloved, with nothing but trust and bravery holding you both together. You feel the cool, hard steel of the rebar pressed gently against the tender flesh of your neck, a symbol of your willingness to let go of your fears and surrender to the moment.

As you take a step forward, the rebar begins to bend before your very eyes, its resistance no match for the power of your bond. You feel the rush of emotions coursing through your veins, the intensity of the moment taking hold of your every sense.

You are lost in a sea of sensation, your heart pounding with excitement and anticipation. You are fully present in this moment, giving yourself over to the magic of the experience.

With each passing second, you feel the connection between you and your partner growing stronger, the rebar bending ever more as you move closer and closer together.

This is a moment of pure trust, of unshakeable courage, of intense passion and desire. Let yourself be swept away by the power of the experience, and feel the unbreakable bond between you and your partner grow stronger with each passing moment.

Rebars are steel bars that are used in construction to reinforce concrete. You wouldn’t be able to bend it with your hands. Like all of our activities, the Rebar Bend is possible, you just need to challenge yourself to face your fears and embrace the moment.

Why do it?

The great thing about bending a rebar with your neck is that it will challenge you as well as your partner.  Some of the key benefits of the Rebar Bend are:

  1. Facing your fears
  2. Learn and experience trust
  3. Working together at a whole new level
  4. Increased confidence

The real beauty of this challenge is how it takes two people to complete it.  They both need to focus on themselves as well as the other person.  It is perfect for looking at trust and team work.  It’s a really powerful bonding experience for the partners as well as the whole team as they celebrate each other’s success.

How long does it last?

As a bare minimum you should allow 1 hour for this event but the timings are flexible to suit your needs and desired outcomes.  If you have more time, we can provide you with an awesome 3 hour event that really focuses on:

  1. The importance of trust
  2. Facing your fears
  3. Life inside and outside the comfortzone
  4. Teamwork

You could also consider doing a board break or glass walk to compliment this activity and really hammer home the learning and camaraderie for your team.

Anything else I should know?

Words can’t do justice for how powerful this activity is when it comes to developing trust, friendship and top class teams.  Your team will talk about this for a long time and the shared experience will really bond them.
